The flip flops that have lain in wait on the mat for just the perfect trip up a grown up moment,are back at the bottom of the shoe pile. The patio door is closed more often than not. Summer flexible time has ceased and been replaced with autumnal rigidity.Bedtime is now back to being set in stone, as are dinner times. The house is quiet, feet don’t thunder down the stairs at all hours. God I hate the end of the school holidays, can’t the kids stay home for good?
